Joseph N. Cunningham, Jr., MD

Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, Dr. Joseph Cunningham obtained his M.D. from the Medical College of Alabama, Birmingham, Alabama in 1966.  He completed both his internship and residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas.  Dr. Cunningham completed a fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery at New York University Medical Center, New York where he also served as a Clinical Instructor of Surgery.  Dr. Cunningham continued his affiliation with New York University Medical Center as an Assistant Professor of Surgery from 1974 - 1977 and as an Associate Professor of Surgery from 1977 - 1982.  He is currently a professor of surgery at SUNY-Brooklyn and an Adjunct Clinical Professor at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine.
